MONTRAIL GENSTRM GORE-TEX HIKERS
- WOMEN'S SIZE 9.5-

PRE-OWNED CONDITION GRADE: A

$35 (pick up price or add $11.35 to ship)

It's getting to be that time of year and if you're looking for a new pair of hikers, this could just be the right one for you! These Montrail hikers are AWESOME. The monster treads on the soles show hardly any wear, the leather uppers are in incredible shape with no stains and ridiculously minimal scuffing, and the footbed/interior is in oh-my-gosh PERFECT shape! The tongue and shoe laces don't look ragged the way they normally would be had they been raked through every trail in the country! Seriously, if it hadn't been for the light pilling on the rear ankle padding where your sock slides against as it enters, you would think that these shoes hiked the carpeted stairs instead of a mountain path. A well-cared for and minimally used pair at a FRACTION of a Montrail Price!

CHARLES ALBERT CRISS-CROSS WEDGE
- WOMEN'S 9M -

NEW CONDITION GRADE: A+

$15 (pick up price or add $11.35 to ship)

Since my knee scope surgery, I have had to give up some of the finer things...namely, my ultra-high-heeled shoes that makes my calves look dynamite. This pair has a 3-3/4" wedge heel. It is synthetic with black faux suede and brass lace grommets. It has lovely details from the pleated toe box stitching to the crisscross wrap-around lacing to finish off the sexy look on a night out. I purchased these at $50 but regrettably never had a chance to wear it so it's still brand new but the box is gone. It's your lucky day so why not buy it a a fraction of the cost?

Super sexy style at an awesome price!

Condition Rating

Where possible and necessary, I will give a "condition rating" to the items I sell. You will find that I will not post anything that has condition issues that will not meet the following ratings:

A++ :
This rating is reserved for those items that are NEW WITH PACKAGING. Examples may include (though not limited to) merchandise in their original boxes that appear to have the condition of "just purchased" and/or still have their original tags attached to them.

A+:
This rating is for those NEW items that have not been used or worn but do not have their original tags or packaging. New clothing and footwear that show no visible wear, along with other unused products that do not have their factory packaging fall under this rating.

A:
This rating is for merchandise that show minimal signs of wear while still having the appearance of being AS NEW but assumed to have been used to some degree.

Why are there no lesser ratings?
I believe that you want to be able to purchase new or gently used merchandise at an affordable price that fits your budget. I also believe that you want the best for the price you are willing to pay much in the same way that I expect the same things from other vendors I deal with.

I will not sell anything that is of a lesser caliber than the standards that I have set above so I hope you enjoy the eclectic collection of items that I offer for sale.

Best Regards,
PT

The Store is Open!

It's been a long hiatus and I wasn't sure what direction to take this but I decided that my overthinking is causing me to not do anything at all. So in the spirit of of my OCD and ADD, I am (re)launching my blog to fit anything and everything that inspires me.

After all, isn't that the whole point of the name I chose for the blog?

Etsy Treasury Featured Item

It's nice to know that a fellow Etsy seller thought well enough of my items to feature one of them in her Treasury. This little pin cushion is a perfect example of cute chotchkie reinvented. Rising from the ashes of junk to practical, this miniature novelty now serves a purpose–and it certainly looks a heck of a lot better than the ubiquitous tomato pin cushion we have. Thanks to Laurence Collection for adding this. There's more to find on my Etsy site so check it out!

Lunch Ladies Craft Fair

It was a pretty wet and snowy day!

The second craft fair I participated in last Saturday was organized by the staff of the child nutrition program at Teton County School District, aka the lunch ladies.

Featured are my fun pin cushions that I love making from unique chotchkies  and containers (even a double picture frame).

One man's junk is my whimsically repurposed and more useful accessory.

I also pulled out my microwavable heating pads in three sizes–a large rectangular pad, a long roll and hand-warmers. All have decorative sleeves in different fabric patterns. The pad and roll comes in a convenient storage puoch.

Then there are the felted sweater bags and purses. Those were just as fun but challenging to make because I didn't really know how a sweater was going to come out of the felting process.

My daughter gave me the idea to donate a portion of my sales to her 5th Grade Class Spring Yellowstone Trip. They are sorely in need of additional funds and it's a worthy cause to support.

Check out some of the featured items on the sidebar to the right and click on the Etsy badge for more information on these and other products I sell!

Victor Fall Craft Fair 2010

The first of many craft fairs this holiday season started off with the Victor Craft Fair last Saturday, sponsored by Rhonda Tolbert. It was not as well attended as the year before but I'm optimistic about the upcoming shows. It also allowed me the opportunity to reflect and brainstorm ideas.

Considering the last minute rush to prepare for this and the near-accident I almost got myself into on my way to the show on that icy morning, the booth turned out well and despite my initial apprehension, I felt very good about my display.

So the universe is aligned and the planets are in proper orbit. I even brought extra unfinished projects in case I had a little time in my hand. I got to finish them all, take pictures, check out the other booths, and even sold a few items. That's the best you can hope for when participating in these fairs.

There was definitely variety here. But they all had one thing in common. The handbags, pincushion keepers, heating pads were made from upcycled materials.
